Don’t be afraid to come along for a visit, the meetings are very informal and you would be made most welcome.
Whether you are new to photography or have experience, new members are always welcome.
For those that are new, there is always an opportunity for discussion and to get help from the more experienced amongst us.
We normally have a break around 9 pm when refreshments are available and there is the chance for discussion.
We host frequent competitions for both Prints and Projected Images that, generally, are judged by external, experienced judges.
Some Print competitions have a beginners section.
The club also enters inter-club competition battles with several neighbouring clubs, where the banter flows and which are always good fun.
Members can also enter their work into the East Anglian Federation (EAF) inter-club competitions and successful prints/images can then go on to be entered in the Photographic Alliance Of Great Britain (PAGB) competitions.
Annually, there is an exhibition in the Brentwood library when a selection of members’ photographs are shown.
As well as competitions, we have talks and demonstrations by both visiting lecturers and our own members on various aspects of photography, techniques, travel etc.
Practical evenings, covering different facets of photography are arranged and there are social events organised.
Advice is always on hand.
Come along and see for yourself. You have nothing to loose.
